My client, a leading Homeware/Textile Manufacturer, has a vacancy for a Production Planning Manager who is highly motivated, driven and enjoys a challenge. Must have extensive planning experience in Clothing/Textiles and the ability to organise, plan and execute a multitude of tasks to achieve set objectives.

Job Description

· Monitoring/assessing production and departmental performance within the organization versus scheduled plans and make the required improvements or take corrective action to achieve set objectives

· Co-ordinate and monitor status of all processes to achieve planned schedules

· Good product knowledge required to ascertain required inputs versus available capacity

· Determine machine, manning and skill requirements and how changes in conditions, operations, and the environment will affect outcomes

· Identifying measures or indicators of performance and the actions needed to improve or correct performance, relative to the goals set

· Production and Processing – knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods

· Administration and Management – knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, production methods and co-ordination of people and resources

· Ensuring excellent customer services by managing all processes to achieve on time, in full delivery to customer expectations

· Manage administrative and clerical procedures and processes to ensure production unit is serviced efficient in order to optimize outputs

Key Requirements

· Must have Clothing/Textiles background

· Fully literate in Windows Operating System, which includes advance Excel

· Fast React – advantageous

· Extensive planning experience in the clothing or textile industry

· The ability to motivate and influence others

· Has a strong trader mentality, is innovative and shows initiative

· Has strong analytical and logical problem solving ability

· Has excellent relationship building skills

· Able to communicate effectively at all levels within, as well as outside the company

· Has excellent numerical skills, is accurate and pay attention to detail

· Is assertive, deadline orientated, and very methodical

· Is flexible, functions well under pressure and can maintain a positive and high work performance in a variety of circumstances

· Is loyal and always prepared to go the extra mile

· Is self-motivated, takes responsibility and has a high sense of pride in their work

· Can work independently and as a team player

· Ability to manage staff
